1) So, you made your survey, right?
2) Make sure you give it to ten (real) people (your imaginary friends do not count).
3) Ready to write? First, give an introduction: What did you ask and why? What responses did you expect?
4) Now summarize the details-- give us the numbers: 10 of 22 students plan to attend the soccer game if RFHS makes it to the playoffs. Of those students, 6 were athletes.
5) Now interpret-- Why do you think the number came out this way? What might be influencing people to respond in the way they did? Is it a surprise to you, or did they respond as you expected?
6) Finally, conclude: Based on this survey, what might you research and report on in your blog in the next few weeks in order to further educate, stretch the thinking of, and/or support what people are thinking about your topic? In other words, what ideas does this give you for next steps.
REMEMBER: two vocab words, 200-400 words, edit and spell check.
I'm going to add 30 min. of reading every night. This will help me fill the gap in my literacy because it'll help me increase my reading speed and also expand my knowledge with the more I read.

To do this I am going to try and write the papers I get faster instead of thinking about it so much, and for the vocab I will try and use more advanced vocab through out the blogs maybe more then two of the vocab words that is required.

ReplyDeleteWhile discussing with our group the variety of ways to improve our reading skills we came up with going to a librarian and asking for suggestions on certain book that will help improve our reading skills. Then we also came up with freerice.com and this website helps improve vocabulary skills. These would help our reading skills. -WENDY ADAME
ReplyDeleteI have proposed to myself, to read a higher level book. This will not only help me expand my vocabulary, but also be a faster reader. A book like red bage of courage will help me with my higher edcation.

ReplyDeleteI really need to work on my vocab, so since reading is one of the best ways to improve vocab, I am going to make an effort to read higher level books that have more challenging vocab words throughout them.
